As an administrator of ClickView, you are able to review incoming content and apply restrictions based upon your schools policies.
Note: You can only change this setting if you are a ClickView Admin.
1. Log into ClickView using an Administrator account.
2. Click your initials in the top right corner of the screen and click on 'Settings' from the dropdown menu:
3. From the Settings screen, select 'Content review and restrictions' from the Video security group.
4. You will then be in the Content review screen:
The content review screen is broken into three tabs - Content review settings, Content Review and Restricted videos. In this article we'll go through each and highlight the specifics.
Content Review Settings
The Content review settings tab is where administrators can choose to enable content review. With Content review not enabled, content will be added into your ClickView libraries without any involvement from Administrators.
Use the toggle to enable/disable Content review. With Content review enabled, Administrators can choose the time period for reviewing content.
Available options are 14, 21 or 30 days and this is the length of time to review content prior to it being automatically added into your ClickView libraries. |
Content Review
The Content review tab is where administrators will see the list of content from our ClickView releases.
Administrators can review the content , and quickly and easily approve all videos to be added into ClickView by clicking on the 'Approve all videos' button at the top of the screen.
Alternatively, you may find that only a handful of videos require the access to be reviewed. Administrators can read the content summary description and easily approve individual videos by clicking on the 'Approve' button.
For those videos which require the access to be reviewed, click on the 'Manage video access' button:
Within the manage access screen, Administrators can quickly see the level of restriction and adjust it accordingly.
Selecting the eye icon against a year group, will turn it into a padlock which indicates that this year and all years below, cannot view the video.
A helpful hint is displayed at the bottom of the screen.
To restrict the video completely, Administrators can select the Staff group, which will restrict from staff and ALL students. |
Staff members can also manage video restrictions on their own videos. See our handy guide here.
Restricted videos
The restricted videos tab is where administrators can quickly see which videos have restrictions applied. Restrictions can be reviewed and/or edited at any time by selecting the 'Manage video access' button.
Restricted videos are easily identifiable by the padlock icon at the side of the video title. This padlock can be seen by users of ClickView in the search results.
Hovering over the padlock icon, will give users a handy tool tip which notifies them of the restrictions applied to the video:
