What is a Playlist?
A playlist is a personalised collection of videos created from ClickView resources, your school's video library or your own videos.
The playlist feature lets you gather videos and organise them into a viewing order exactly as you wish. This is great for when you're curating a set of videos to watch in class. Playlists can also be shared with other staff and students at your discretion.
A screenshot of a typical playlist can be seen below.
To learn more about how you can create playlists, please see our handy guide: How do I create a playlist?
Is there a Playlist limit?
You are able to create as many different playlists as you wish. Just be sure to give them names that are easy to find and understand later on.
What types of Playlist are there?
Playlists fall into three categories, and we’ve changed the look and feel, to help easily identify them:
ClickView Curated Playlists Playlists curated by ClickView have cover art and the CV logo in the top right. |
|
Followed Playlists Playlists created by another user that the user follows will have the owner's avatar/initials in the top right. |
|
User Created Playlists User created playlists have a solid coloured background. |
You can share playlists with other teachers and students from your school. Sharing playlists directly, or creating a share link are great ways to share content. Share links can also be embedded into your LMS and is a great way to share resources. To learn more about sharing playlists, view this tutorial: How do I share my playlists?
You can also 'follow' an existing playlist, curated by others in the ClickView community. Followed playlists are automatically updated with new videos, if the additions are made by the curator of the playlist.
Followed playlists will appear alongside your own playlists, under the Playlists tab. Followed Playlists can be used just like any other playlist, except for adding, ordering or deleting videos from them.
More information on following Playlists can be found in our handy guide, here.
