Accessing proxy settings
The proxy settings are located in the Local Cache Admin console, which can be accessed here: http://localhost:9054/
What is the Proxy tab?
The proxy tab can be used to point the Local Cache towards your institutions local proxy server so that traffic can correctly traverse your network.
How to setup Local Cache to use a proxy server
1. Enter the address of your proxy in the address bar; by default entries, will pre-fix HTTP to the URL, if you need to make use of HTTPS please manually enter this before the proxy address.
If proxy authentication details are required please tick the checkbox and enter these details in the username and password field provided.
How to test if the proxy is working with Local Cache?
Proxy settings will be tested upon hitting the save button, a status message will be returned to the right of the Save button.
What does the 'online' icon mean?
The icon indicates that the Local Cache is running and has successfully connected to the network. You can see if your Local Cache has any trouble accessing the network when the icon is red and says 'offline'.
